When we took over the car in Alice Springs, it was obviously that it wasn't clean. I mentioned this to the lady in the office but she wasn't interested in that. She became rude and impolite and told me, that she cleaned the car. I showed her several parts in the car which were not cleaned.
My wife and me didn't want to stay longer in Alice Springs, we wanted to start our roadtrip. Another car wasn't available and also not for the next days.So we had to take that dirty car.

The lady in Alice Springs sold us 6 pices of chemicals for the toilett, none was included. I still have the receipt for it.

The car was in a very bad maintained condition. Obviously it hat already some accidents, some partes of the car were missing, others were not perfect fixed.
When we prepared ourself for the roadtrip, my wife got that allergic attack. We found animal hairs inside the car. So we had to clean the car for at least two hours to make sure that my wife will not get another allergic attack. I took a photo of one of the pillows. This was definitly not cleaned and there were animal hairs on it, disgusting. Furthermore we found old teabags and popsicke sticks beside a lot of dust in the car.

During our trip we found out more and more things at that car which were not okay. The mirror on the drivers side door was rattling all the time. Sometimes a conversation wasn't possible. I tried to fix the problem and put some kitchenpaper between the mirror and the frame. It helped a little bit, but the noise didn't disappear.

The air condition in the living area didn't work properly. The compressor didn't start during our time in the outback. Only warm air came out of the AC. I reported that problem and was asked to send some photos. I did so but the problem couldn't be fixed. The pin for the reset was missing. Once the compressor started for a while and the temperature inside the car sank for a short while, maybe onto 24 degrees. All the other time, the AC didn't work and we had temperatures from about more than 30 degrees inside the car.

The radio didn't work correctly, only in areas with a very strong signal. I was told that the antenna for the radio is placed inside the mirror of the car. The mirror on the drivers side was rattling all the time (accident?) and the mirror on the passengers side was damaged by an accident. Obvioulsly the antenna was also broken.
The antenna for the TV was broken and disconnected to the TV.

There was a backup camera at the rear side of the car but the monitor inside the car was missing. So everytiime when I had to drive backwards, my wife had to get out the car to assist me.

One burning point of the oven didn't work until we came to Adelaide, there it could be fixed but it broke again. So I fixed it myself.

In the Apollo workshop in Adelaide nobody could detect a misstake in the aircondition, it worked. I have to remind that the temperatures in Adelaide were much lower than in the outback, so the AC worked. The man in the workshop told me that it might be to hot for the AC in the outback.
This rattling mirror could not be fixed in Adelaide although they knew that I would show up with that car. A monitor for the backup camera couldn't be provided.

The radio which didn't work and the broken TV antenna are minor problems. The dirty car and the broken AC were real problems. Especially the animal hairs inside our car, which caused the allergic attack at my wife are unacceptable. If the car wasn't cleaned, it was also not desinfected, this is also not acceptable.
What is the lady in the Apollo office in Alice Springs doing? Nothing, just sitting arroud and playing with her dog. This lady is a very bad reputation for Apollo. I didn't expect that a company like Apollo has such employees.

We had to spend a lot of time in cleaning the car and sending reports and photos to Apollo. That wasn't what I expected from my holidays when I booked the car.
